What a fun-packed couple of weeks we’ve had! Visit from my parents, first field trip for Matilda to a pumpkin patch (“bus was super bumpy and we got to pet a giraffe”, got to love that!), Trick or Treating on Halloween, road trip to Omaha, NE to celebrate Matilda’s 5th birthday and fabulous visitors from Sweden.
Love having visitors at our house. My parents take such amazing care of us, so it always takes me a while to readjust to doing everything by myself after they leave. I’m still so thankful for the things they did, I remember walking into the laundry room to move the clothes to the drier and finding that not only had that been done, the clothes had also been folded AND put away. That’s heaven right there if you ask me! Our home miraculously got vacuumed and the dishes in the sink just disappeared. A girl could get used to that! My friends from Sweden were such great guests too and we had a blast.
Going back to Omaha was amazing as well. It’s a very long trip, yep we drive, takes us a good 8 hours at least. But we all love going and seeing our family is such a treat. It’s always worth the trip, no doubt about that!
We always have a wonderful time with our families and friends and share lots of laughs. Just wish we all lived closer so we could see each other more often.
Here are some images from weeks 44-46 of 2013. Can’t believe my baby girl is five years old and has pierced ears. What’s happening??? Somebody stop this train!
